Many Whites Today Would Have Been Classified as Black in the 1940s
This story found in my tracker today is a good follow upper to my past comment on Black and White.
Back in 1938 when my brother was born in New London Connecticut, no hospital in our village.
My father and mother wrote into the Birth Certificate (Mohiigan) because back then you were either Black or White, the hospital crossed that out and checked Black because my father was real dark skinned.
So in 1941 when I came along my father took the paperwork to the administrator and again crossed out Black and White and wrote in Mohiigan!
My Birth Certificate was also changed only this time to White?
Same mother and father different colors on the Birth Certificate?
Our great, great, grandmother was on one of the ‘Underground Railroads’ passing through Uncasvillage.

If you look at the many new Casino Indian Reservations throughout New England, 90% look white, why?
Because they are, for the most part white.
The other 10% look black, why?
you guessed it!
Now look at the so called “Sachem of the Narragansett’s” ‘White’!
Any wonder why the majority of the people in the country are so confused about out people?

The U.S. has a long history of using pseudoscience to classify people by race. So what happens when we try to use a legitimate science? A new study of a large data sample from personal genomics company 23andme reveals that people’s genetic backgrounds have little impact on their racial self-identification.
On average, the scientists found, people who identified as African-American had genes that were only 73.2 percent African. European genes accounted for 24 percent of their DNA, while .8 percent came from Native Americans.
Latinos, on the other hand, had genes that were on average 65.1 percent European, 18 percent Native American, and 6.2 percent African. The researchers found that European-Americans had genomes that were on average 98.6 percent European, .19 percent African, and .18 Native American.
