The eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 have been closed as crews work the scene of a gas line break.

Orlando Fire Department officials said utility crews were en route to the scene near the Orlando International Premium Outlets.

According to the Florida Department of Transportation, construction crews working on the I-4 Ultimate project hit a 4-inch gas line. Workers were immediately moved back for safety reasons.

No injuries were reported, and there was no fire.

The eastbound lanes of I-4 were shut down at the Turnpike. Significant slow-downs in the westbound lanes are a result of traffic congestion, but there is no closure there.

It’s unclear when the interstate will reopen.
