“Holiday Season?”

Is this the Holiday Season?

I believe, if memory serves me correctly, that we just passed Halloween, Thanksgiving and are on our way to many religious holidays and then New Years?

So, one would think, with all of these holidays that it should be our

“Holiday Season?”

Well if this is so, why can’t our media find at least one pleasant news article per every one hundred, mind twisting, tear jerking, miserable, news story every minute of every hour of every day all season long?

If they run out of our states garbage stories they leave the state for points unknown across the country and the world!

Is it any wonder that our young grow up apathetic to this?

Take today for instance?

Three teenagers drive 100 MPH into a brick wall, a teenage handicapped boy drowned in his back yard while family and friends walk the streets and law informant fly helicopters and ride horses looking around the town for him?

Our governor and congress have found yet another way to steal from us!

A car crashed into and kills a motorcyclist!

On and on and on while also going to cities like Chicago for more pain and misery.

Do you mean to tell me that there is no longer good stories happening at the very least once a day?

Happy Holidays Everyone?

This includes our Media!

  1. There is, of course, good news happening on a daily basis and, many years ago now, a newspaper that totally focused on good news items was created in the US. It folded in a very short time due to lack of support! The problem with a free enterprise system of business is that it is governed by the laws of supply and demand. Sadly, our culture (and no doubt many others) appears to have a perverse attraction to bad news. How do we change that? I have no idea.
