Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi working hard for Florida

Pam, if in fact you are working hard in Florida for Floridians, what about the women in Florida?

Republican Pam Bondi is leading the race with 41 percent of likely voters saying they would vote for her, while Democrat George Sheldon is 10 points behind at 31 percent. Libertarian candidate Bill Wohlsifer is trailing a distant third, with 6 percent.

Bondi has taken a stand on issues ranging from pill mills to cyber-crime.

“We have been working very hard to protect our consumers and prevent identity theft and protect our seniors,” said Bondi during an exclusive Attorney General debate on News 13 on Oct. 6.

Pam, if in fact you are working hard in Florida for Floridians, what about the women in Florida?

Why is it that you do not push for equal rights for your Floridian women?

Clean House and Pass the ERA

The reason that the Equal Rights Amendment has not passed is that privileged women are against it. They have the money and the clout and these women have been oppressing other women for years.

So it’s time to clean house and get rid of the rubbish.

Equal Rights Amendment

The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) was a proposed amendment to the United States Constitution designed to guarantee equal rights for women. The ERA was originally written by Alice Paul and Crystal Eastman. In 1923, it was introduced in the Congress for the first time. In 1972, it passed both houses of Congress and went to the state legislatures for ratification.

The resolution in Congress that proposed the amendment set a ratification deadline of March 22, 1979. Through 1977, the amendment received 35 of the necessary 38 state ratifications. Five states later rescinded their ratifications before the 1979 deadline, though the validity of these rescissions is disputed. In 1978, a joint resolution of Congress extended the ratification deadline to June 30, 1982, but no further states ratified the amendment before the passing of the second deadline. Several

  1. Sachem, you worry about equal rights for women in Florida, I worry about equal rights for Senior Citizens in Kentucky. We had a candidate speak to us at my building about all of the wonderful things he was doing to help Owensboro get new business, but when I asked him what he was doing to help the Seniors in Owensboro, he had to think for a moment before telling us about the wonderful new Senior Citizen center that will be opening soon. A new and improved place that will be, not only for the Senior Citizens, but also for everyone else in town who wants a new, beautiful place to meet. So, in other words, they are taking away our center and giving us nothing. That was when we all got up and left the room.
